Facebook Page Tips: How to Create A New Page

As promised in the initial post last month, all of us here at Activ8Social will be sharing our knowledge on the basics of setting-up, navigating, and managing Facebook Pages—one of the most effective tools capable of developing your brand online.

2010 Sports and Social Media Predictions

Well-known sports and social media blogger Jason Peck released an ebook today that aggregates trends and predictions for 2010 of thought leaders in the sports and social media space. We are excited that Activ8Social’s Steve Cobb was included in the first annual release of the compilation. You can find his predictions on pages 21-22.

This past year was not without its major headlines, including of course the recent Tiger Woods saga, but equally important as any individual, team, or league accomplishment was the underlying paradigm shift in the dissemination and consumption of sports media and marketing.  When you step back and take a look at 2009, you realize it was certainly a year to remember for those of us that follow online sports marketing.

A8S Drops by Sports Networker Summit NYC

The Activ8Social team would like to thank Lewis Howes from Sports Networker and Amy Martin from Digital Royalty for hosting an informative event this past Monday at New York City’s top social media gathering place, the Roger Smith Hotel (we really encourage you to check out this family-owned and operated artsy boutique).

Much like the Princeton Sports Symposium on Friday, December 4, the a8s team took advantage of an opportunity to meet and hang out with some of the brightest minds in the sports social media, sponsorship, and marketing space.

A8S Speaks at Princeton Sports Symposium

The Activ8Social team just capped off a long, eventful day at the prestigious 2009 Princeton Sports Symposium, which was the fourth installment of this event that has become an annual landmark in the sports industry and on the Princeton University Campus. Founded by Chris Chaney, Princeton class of ’07, the symposium provides a forum where students and sports professionals can interact and acquire invaluable knowledge about this fast-growing industry.

Anthony Caponiti of Activ8Social was a featured panelist on the “Digital Media & Technology” panel, alongside renowned industry veterans.
